An incredible day at the 2019 All-Ireland Karate Intervarsities Championship hosted in Dublin. A 26-strong squad of karatekas from UCD, one of our largest ever, made its way to DCU for the competition on Sunday to finally reclaim the S.M.C. Perpetual Cup! All our hard work throughout the year has paid off. Congratulations to all those who competed and those all those who couldn’t make we hope to see you at the next one.

Grading (April 15th during regular training)

Grading FAQS
Where/ when is it: Grading this semester is taking place during our usual Monday night training.
What do I bring: Make sure to bring your dogi to this one, students presenting for grading require a valid JKA Shotokan Ireland license. If you do not have a license, we can send you on the application form that you need to complete and bring with you on the night.Those of you that graded in December, we will have you licenses.
What do I need to know: Everything you need to know is in the attached image below.

AGM (April 23rd 8pm in the Red Room)

There will be pizza!

On the night, we will be reviewing the events of 2018 / 2019 and electing our new club committee for 2019 / 2020. This is a great chance to contribute to the running of your club. The roles that are open for nominations and the descriptions of those roles are here.

The roles open are Captain, Vice-Captain, Junior Treasurer, Secretary, Ents Officer, PRO and more.

We really hope to continue with the current strength of our club and see that strength grow in 2019 / 2020, guided by a strong committee.

If you do not have any experience on a committee in the past, do not let that hold you back. There is always someone you can ask for advice or help if you need it.
